Custom Systems

I specialize in fast, custom database interfaces. Check out systems to learn about The Bit Tracker 2000 and other amazing inventions.

Styling

My CSS and DHTML know-how allows me to bring an artist's vision into fast-loading web pages that work in all major browsers. New York's Municipal Credit Union is just one example. Also, I know Flash.

Welcome to My Portfolio

Hi. I'm Matt Hanley, a developer and usability guide. This site Phamper serves as a portfolio of my contributions to technology and marketing. The major links mean this: Systems displays some turn-key solutions that I invented or fully engineered; Designs displays client projects where I contributed code; Widgets exhibits a few smaller, whimsical applications I made for Facebook or Google Gadget. Below is some extra information about stuff I've done.

E-commerce

I created a shopping cart program, The SmartSeller. I provided code for web stores such as Lane Bryant / Fashion Bug, Baby Lulu, and a Martha Stewart-sanctioned seller of water bottles, Ecousable.com. I created a system for Allyance snowboarding gear so that online ordering syncs with its warehouse.

The Social Web

I know how to make Facebook Applications, and Facebook Connect web sites. I've also made widgets on the Google Gadget and Widgetbox platofrms.

Years of Innovation and Mashing-Up

Long before widgets, web developers made portals, which put many services and content under one roof. Although the services didn't talk to each other, the combinations could create "synergies" and introduce new offerings. My inCharleston.net was such a portal. I used it as a Trojan Horse to plug my online food ordering service, which I based on my shopping cart program, The SmartSeller.
